Literature and Song – Pauline Williams

We had a lovely start to our week. On Monday we began to get to know each other and had some laughs over the unusual things The Old Lady Who Swallowed the Fly was willing to eat. As well we enjoyed weaving spider webs and painting spiders. Tuesday was highlighted by a more summery, New Orleans feel as we listened to a song about frog trouble and danced to some tunes from the Jungle Book. The children are relaxed, playful and connecting in a genuine sense of community. We will look forward to making sailboats on Wednesday, reading nursery rhymes on Thursday and making fruit salad for our picnic-style snack on Friday.
